Propane fire pit rentals delivered to your Michigan backyard. Real flame, no smoke, and no wood-burning permit required (Grand Rapids Only). Rent alone or with a dome.
Every booking can be topped off with something made in-house. Our small-batch treats are designed to be enjoyed around the fire pit and inside the dome to enhance the experience.
How is Ember & Glass different from renting a tent?
Traditional tent rental companies provide a structure (maybe standard tables and chairs), you still need to source heat, lighting, and setup labor separately. Most tents are built for massive events with high minimums. Ember & Glass supplies heated or air-conditioned, weatherproof domes, propane fire pits, string lighting, full delivery and setup in one booking.
FAQs
Are dome rentals cheaper than a tent rental in Grand Rapids?
1
Yes, for a single backyard gathering our Simple Dome starts at $400 for a one-day rental. Each dome rental includes flooring, lighting, setup labor, and an electric climate control unit. Most tent rental companies quote heat and air conditioning separately, but at Ember & Glass we strive to make every moment working with us a joy.
Our Stylized Dome rentals start at $700 and includes furniture, flooring, lighting, setup labor, and an electric climate control unit.

Do I need a permit for a fire pit rental in Grand Rapids?
3
How far in advance should I book a dome for my event?
No. Ember & Glass fire pits run on propane, which is exempt from Grand Rapids’ recreational fire permit requirement, which only applies to wood-burning fires.
Make sure to check you own city, township, or county requirements for compliance

What areas does Ember & Glass serve?

How is a dome rental different from a tent rental?
Ember & Glass has a standard delivery range of 60-miles from downtown Grand Rapids. The bulk of our business comes from Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids, Ada, Grandville, Kentwood, Rockford, Cascade Township, and greater Kent County.
If you live outside our delivery range additional fees may apply.
A tent is usually a white canopy you typically style yourself. Furniture, lighting and climate control are considered additional fees.
An Ember & Glass Dome is fully clear, has a floor, includes lighting, can be paired with furniture, comes standard with climate control, can be paired with an external propane fire pit (including one propane tank), and can be setup for a single event or a week-long outdoor getaway.
We have several clients that have booked up to six months in advance. Other clients have called 12-hours in advance, and we were able to accommodate.
We recommend reserving as early as you can when planning your event to secure priority access and tap into our select network of florists, caterers, beverage vendors, musicians, and event staff.
